PURPOSE:To make the flash point 250 deg.C or higher and the pour point lower than -30 deg.C by using a complex ester of trimethylol propane, monobasic acid with carbon number 7 to 12, and dibasic acid with carbon number 6 to 10. CONSTITUTION:As an ester used for an electric insulating oil, a complex ester of trimethylol propane, a monobasic acid with carbon number 7 to 12 (enanthylic acid and isoheptane acid, for example), and dibasic acid with carbon number 6 to 10 (adipic acid and azelaic acid, for example). In such a composition, the flash point is made 250 deg.C or higher and the pour point is made lower than -30 deg.C. And an insulating oil with an excellent flame-resisting and electric property, and with no fear of contaminating the environment can be obtained.
