PURPOSE:To perform cooking with the temperature of a pan being confirmed without the consideration of setting place of the thermometer, by engaging the main body of a thermometer, to one end of which a temperature sensor is attached, with the handle of the cooking pan so that the main body can freely be attached and removed. CONSTITUTION:A main body A of a thermometer, to one end of which a temperature sensor 8 is attached, is formed in the approximately same size as the size of a handle 3 of a cooking pan 2 such as a tempura pan. A fixing projection part 6 and a fixing boss 7 are formed as a unitary body at the lower surface of a housing 5. The part 6 and the boss 7 are inserted into a long hole 11 and a fixing hole 12 in the handle 3 of the pan 2 and engaged with the holes. Thus the main body A of the thermometer is mounted on the handle 3 so that the main body A can freely be attached and removed. Therefore, cooking can be carried out with the temperature being confirmed and without consideration of the setting place of the thermometer.
