PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a pot as well as to prevent the outflow of a molten metal in the pot by forming the pot into the shape of a duct and arranging linear motors at the lower sheet inlet side opening of the pot. CONSTITUTION:A duct 6 for feeding a molten metal 9 for hot dipping and a duct 7 for discharging the molten metal 9 are fitted to a molten pot 8 for hot dipping. Linear motors 4 are arranged at the lower sheet side opening 2 of the pot 8 and worked so that the driving force acts in a direction opposite to the direction of gravity. The molten metal 9 is held at the opening 2 and the outflow of the molten metal 9 is prevented. Linear motors 5 are arranged at the upper sheet outlet side opening 3 of the pot 8 and the thickness of the molten metal sticking to a sheet 1 is regulated with generating noise.
