INITIAL CONTROL METHOD FOR TERMINAL EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To prevent an input/output device from being failed even when a power supply is interrupted by means of the error display of a main CPU side by preventing the initial control of an input/output device in a slave CPU when the initial control by the main CPU is implemented. CONSTITUTION:When power is turned on, the main CPU 21 and the slave CPU 31 implement respectively initial setting, but the slave CPU 31 is in standby state till a start request instruction comes from the main CPU 21. Then the main CPU 21 checks whether or not a floppy disk is set in floppy disk devices 27-29 and it is displayed on a display device 8 if an error takes place. Even when the operator turns off the power while observing an error message, since the initial control for the mechanisms such as a printer or a carrying mechanism is not initiated by the slave CPU 31, the power supply is not interrupted on the way of the operation of the mechanisms.
