PURPOSE:To enhance versatility, operability and portability of a portable-type printer, by providing a roll-containing part for containing a roll of a film ribbon, and a payout mechanism for paying out the film ribbon from the roll to a recording head when fitted to a casing. CONSTITUTION:A film ribbon 66 is drawn out from a roll 60 of the film ribbon, and is loaded in a film guide part 68. Pawls 64 of a ribbon cassette 20 and the roll 60 protruding from the cassette 20 are inserted into a recessed part 54 of a casing 18, whereby the cassette 20 is fitted to the casing 18. A portable- type transferring device 10 assembled supplies the film ribbon 66, which is drawn out through the guide part 68 of the cassette 20, to a head surface 74 of a thermal head 40 provided at a lower end part of the casing 18, end recording on a paper 12 is conducted by the film ribbon 66 itself or through the film ribbon 66. |
