摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a culture tank for the cultivation of aerobic microorganism and aerobic cell, by integrating a gas-separation membrane module composed of woven fabric of hollow fibers as an oxygen-supplying element, thereby preventing the oscillation and breakage of the hollow fibers. CONSTITUTION:A plain fabric 1 of hollow fiber is produced by using a hollow fiber as a weft and a normal fiber as a warp. An end of the hollow fiber is opened to a collected gas-supplying hole 2 and the other end is opened to another collected gas-supplying hole 3. The collected gas-supplying holes 2, 3 are connected to a gas inlet 4 and a gas outlet 5, respectively. When the above gas-separation membrane module is integrated into a culture tank for aerobic microorganisms or aerobic cells and air is introduced into the tank, oxygen is selectively passed through the silicon rubber membrane at a rate of about twice the passing rate of nitrogen. Accordingly, oxygen is supplied by a mild means. The apparatus is suitable for the culture of microorganisms and cells because the microorganisms and cells are not subjected to shearing force caused by the stirring with blasted gas, etc. There is absolutely no contamination hazard with exogenic microorganisms.
