PURPOSE:To perform washing and disinfection suitable for an endoscope in use, by providing a memory part for storing the resistance data of the endoscope and the discrimination code corresponding to said resistance data on the side of the endoscope while providing a data reading means on the side of a washing apparatus to perform washing and disinfection on the basis of the resistance data of the endoscope. CONSTITUTION:A resistance data memory part 4 is provided to an endoscope 2 and a stored data reading circuit 5 is provided to a washing apparatus 3 consisting of a control part 14 controlling a washing process on the basis of the read data, a controlled washing processing part 15, a disinfection processing part 16, a rinsing processing part 17, a drying processing part 18 and an operation panel 19. The reading circuit 5 reads the data of the memory part 4, that is, the presence of heat resistance, heat resistant temp., chemical resistance, waterproofness or the like to transmit the same to the central processing unit in a control apparatus 14. The CPU 22 reads the necessary data parts when a washing process is performed to perform the proper washing of the endoscope 2.
