<p>PURPOSE:To inexpensively control a loop and to suppress its fluctuation by controlling a stand speed of one side based on a detected value of a loop and by correcting with a signal related to a material speed at an inlet of the other stand calculated by a state observation equipment. CONSTITUTION:On a multistage rolling mill constituted of plural stands driven respectively by individual motors, the loop of the rolling material 3 between neighboring two stands 1, 2 is detected by a loop detector 5. By comparing this detected value and a set value, a speed correcting value is outputted to a speed control device 6 by a loop controller 7. Then, a motor speed of the stand 1 is controlled through a thyrister converter TH. Further, based on the loop and actual value of the motor speed of the stand 1, a converted value of the motor speed related to the material 3 speed on the inlet of the stand 2 is calculated by the state observation equipment 8. This calculated value is inputted as the corrected signal into said speed control device 6. In this way, the fluctuation of the loop between the stands 1 and 2 is suppressed effectively.</p> |
