PURPOSE:To reduce variance of image quality when a carrier is repeatedly used, and to facilitate their manufacture by incorporating a powdery glassy carbon. CONSTITUTION:The conductive ferrite carrier of the title contains the amorphous non-oriented glassy carbon powder, preferably, in a ferrite to carbon mixing volume ratio of (60-90):(40-10). As the material of said carbon, a substance, such as a phenolic thermosetting resin to be carbonized and dispersed in a process of heat treatment for granulating and forming the ferrite carrier or in a sintering step may be used. It is preferred that the carrier has a volume intrinsic resistivity of 10<1>-10<6>OMEGA.cm and a saturation magnetization of 30-85emu/g, and the carbon powder has a particle size of 5-30mum. |
