PURPOSE:To shorten the processing time and to continuously output the output by converting an input or feedback signal to an optical image and multiplexing/ expanding and forming the image on the photoelectric surface of a space optical modulating tube and performing the data processing by optical operation. CONSTITUTION:An input U is led to expanding/multiplexing image forming systems 221 and 212 and is written in space optical modulating tubes (T) 201 and 202. Shutters S1-S3 are opened and closed in a prescribed order to perform operations through a mirror 221 and Ts 201, 202, 203, and 204 by a monochromatic light. The real-time threshold operation is performed through a reverse multiplexing image forming system 213 and the output is fed back, and this operation is performed with respect to each input pattern till convergence, thereby completing inscription. In case of remembrance, operations are performed by an approximately similar method. Thus, the data processing time is shortened and the output is continuously outputted.
