发明名称 INSTRUMENT FOR SIMULTANEOUS ANALYSIS OF OXYGEN AND HYDROGEN
摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation in the efficiency of oxygen release from a sample and the degradation in the performance of an oxygen pump by providing electrochemical hydrogen pumps for which solid electrolytes are used to the closed gas flow passages on the upper stream side and down stream side of a sample introducing means. CONSTITUTION:The electrochemical hydrogen pumps 21, 23 for which the solid electrolytes 20, 22 are respectively used are provided to the flow passages 1 on the upper stream side and down stream side of the sample introducing means 7 of the analyzer constituted by disposing, in series, the sample introducing means 7 for introducing a sample and an electrochemical oxygen pump 12 for which the solid electrolyte to discharge the oxygen in the closed gas flow passage 1 for circulating a carrier gas to the outside of the flow passage in said gas flow passage 1. The chemical potential at the boundary face between the solid electrolyte and electrode on the flow passage 1 side is thereby maintained constant at all times. The oxygen pump 12, is, therefore, capable of measuring the oxygen concn. without being affected by the electron conductivity exhibited by the solid electrolyte, the oxygen released from the solid electrolyte itself and the oxygen leaking from the atmosphere. The hydrogen pumps 21, 23 are capable of measuring the hydrogen concn. without being affected by the electron current flowing in the solid electrolyte and the current by other charge carriers.
