PURPOSE:To establish a method of producing a detector having a closed space between electrodes and porous ceramics layer by allowing a space communicating with the outside to exist on a measuring electrode for an oxygen concn. by a gas introducing hole and covering the electrodes. CONSTITUTION:The shape communicating with the outside is made to exist on the oxygen concn. measuring electrodes 6, 7, 8, 9 by the gas introducing hole 10 and the electrodes 6, 7, 8, 9 are covered, by which the space is provided above the electrodes 6, 7, 8, 9. The hole 10 is thereafter closed by paper 14 which is org. matter and ceramics is thermally sprayed on the hole 10 to cover the hole to form the thermally sprayed porous ceramics layer 16 to a prescribed thickness. After the hole 10 is closed by the thermally sprayed ceramics layer 16, the paper 14 is burned away in a high-temp. oxidizing atmosphere. The closed space is thereby formed between the electrodes 6, 7, 8, 9 and the thermally sprayed porous ceramics layer 16 which is a diffusion control layer formed on the hole 10. |
