This application is an additional application to P 3700182.5, which bears the title: Reciprocating-piston engine with methods for improving the reaction in engine combustion chambers and secondary reaction areas. The additional application is concerned with the need to reduce the increasing resistances to flow within the exhaust pipe which result from the increasing pressure and the increasing exhaust outlet temperature in the case of relatively high engine speeds and loading because the space geometry of the pipe remains the same. For this heat dissipation, the application describes measures which bring about cooling by the relative wind, an obvious measure in motor vehicles, by means of special internal design features of the exhaust pipe.
