The invention relates to a device for developing an electrographic image and is used in the modular treatment of films. It is provided that a specific filling container is arranged above the developing chamber which is perpendicularly arranged and whose closable feed line leads into the developing chamber from below, in which developing chamber the liquid paths then branch off according to the principle of communicating pipes. The complexity in terms of control and regulation is thus reduced while ensuring high functional reliability and at the same time shortening the developer guide paths in the direct functional area. <IMAGE>
