PURPOSE:To easily set a prescribed operation mode with a small number of switches by setting the operation mode in accordance with the number of times of operation of a test switch. CONSTITUTION:If a test switch S is turned off when a copying machine or the like having three kinds of test mode for face-up, face-down, and both sides is started, the normal print mode is set; and if the switch S is turned on then, the test mode is set. If the switch S is turned on, this state is detected through an I/O 30 and an address/data bus 32 by a CPU 31, and the number of times of operation of the switch S in a prescribed detection time of about three seconds is counted. The test mode is set in accordance with the number of times 1, 2, 3 of detection of switch-on in the detection time to start the test print. Thus, various modes are easily set by a small number of switches, and the cost is reduced and maintenance is facilitated, as well. |
