PURPOSE:To attain dynamic adjustment by displaying the tracing state of a recording pattern of a rotary head in a digital tape recorder (DAT) on a TV monitor and visually grasping a tracking error. CONSTITUTION:An error signal 1 with automatic tracking frequency (ATF) is held by an 1H holding circuit 2 during the horizontal synchronizing period of a horizontal synchronizing signal 3. Then, an output from a saw tooth-like wave generating circuit 4 with fH period is added to the output of the circuit 2 by an adder 5, the output of the adder 5 is compared with a reference voltage E0 by an amplitude comparator 6 and a positional pulse generator 8 generates a pulse on a position having a level equal to the voltage E0. Consequently, the tracking of the head at the time of reproducing the DAT is displayed on the TV monitor so that the tracking state can be easily obtained by visual observation and a DAT mechanism part and ATF loop gain can be accurately adjusted. |
