PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of error detection of data transmission by sending a transmission signal comprising a synchronizing signal, a 1-bit data 1, a transmission data and a CRCC so as to eliminate mis-detection. CONSTITUTION:In applying error detection by the CRCC (cyclic redundancy check), the transmission signal consists of a synchronizing signal, a data and a CRCC. The data is expressed as a polynomial A(x) and the CRCC is expressed by a polynomial R(x). Mis-detection takes place by a probability if a communication error is occurred in the error detection system. Then the coefficient of the highest-order of term of the polynomial A(x) of the data format is the unity, that is, one bit is added to a conventional transmission signal. Thus, in case of the reception while the data is being shifted to high-order, since the unity is eliminated without fail, the reception polynomial is not in the form of {A(x)+ R(x)}XX<n> and a residue is produced by dividing the polynomial by a generation polynomial G(x). That is, the discrimination of the presence of communication error is applied to eliminate mis-detection.
