PURPOSE:To obtain a Josephson memory element with stability and high operation speed by combining leastwise four Josephson conjugation elements, forming a closed loop, providing a gate terminal and earth terminal to the two symmetrical points of this closed loop and providing current injecting terminals to the two rest symmetrical points of it. CONSTITUTION:The closed loop is formed by combining the four Josephson conjugation elements J1-J4. To the symmetrical two points of this closed loop, that means, the junction point of the Josephson conjugation elements J1 and J3 and the junction point of the J2 and J4, the gate terminal G and the earth terminal E are provided respectively, and also, to the reset symmetrical two points of the closed loop, that means the junction point of the Josephson conjugation elements J1 and J2 and the junction point of the J3 and J4, the current injecting terminals W and -W are provided respectively. Besides, resistances R1 and R2 are inserted respectively between each current injecting terminal W and -W and the earth terminal E. Thus the Josephson memory element which is suitable for refinement, and is stable with the high operation speed, can be obtained.
