PURPOSE:To recognize instantly to which telephone set a call comes by providing a call means for generating an acoustic signal by an incoming detection means and an acoustic signal setting means for receiving the acoustic signal generated from the call means from an external sound source and presetting the signal. CONSTITUTION:An acoustic signal generated from a call means 2 at an incoming call is inputted from a microphone 3-1 of an acoustic signal setting means 3. TI]e acoustic signal is, for example, a name of a person using a telephone set. The acoustic signal inputted from the microphone 3-1 is digitized by an A/D conversion means 3-2 and stored in a memory 3-3. When the arrival of a call is detected by an incoming call detection means 1, the call means 2 reads the acoustic signal stored in the memory 3-3, allows the D/A conversion means 3-4 to convert the signal into an analog signal, the signal is amplified by an amplification means 2-1 and a preset acoustic signal is generated from a speaker 2-2 as an incoming display.
