<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate discharging scum to the outside, by discharging, when necessary, scum starting over the water surface in a gas chamber to the outside by blowing gas off from a gas blow-off pipe and opening an open-close valve connected to a scum discharge channel. CONSTITUTION:A G-S separator 4 to separate gas and scum in treated water passed through upwardly an anaerobic microorganism blanket 2 in a tank 1 is provided in the upper portion of the tank 1. The separator 4 is divided into a treated water settling chamber 8 above a partition wall 5 and a gas chamber 9 under said wall 5. In the gas chamber 9, a gas blow-off pipe 12 having a slit-like blow-off opening spaced upwardly from the water surface in the gas chamber maintained generally at a certain level is provided. And the direction of gas blowing from the gas blow-off pipe 12 is set so that the gas blowing exerts horizontal wind pressure in the neighborhood of said water surface. Further, scum discharge channel 15 to discharge scum is provided on the internal wall of the tank located in a forward direction of the wind pressure in the gas chamber 9, said channel 15 being connected to a discharge valve 12b.</p> |
