摘要 PURPOSE:To provide the title catalyst which is suitable for solar batteries, galvanic cells and electronic devices, has a long pi-conjugated chain in the main chain and can give a polyacetylene having a high electrical conductivity with high activity by doping, which comprises a Ziegler catalyst solid component, an organic Al compound and a specific organic Ti compound. CONSTITUTION:A magnesium halide (a), a titanium compound (b) of formula I (wherein R<1> is a hydrocarbon residue; X is halogen; and 0<=n<=4), and an electron-donating oxygen compound (c) such as an alcohol or carboxylic acid or a electron-donating nitrogen compound (c) such as NH3, an amine or a nitrile are ground together to obtain a Ziegler catalyst solid component (A). The component (A), an organic Al compound (B) of formulae II or III (wherein R<2-3> are each H or R<4>; R<4> is a 1-20C hydrocarbon residue; 0<=n<=3; and 0<m<3) and an organic Ti compound (C) of formula IV [wherein R1 is (1-5C alkyl- substituted)cyclopentadienyl; n is 1-3; and R2 is 1-5C alkyl] are brought into contact with each other with the amounts of the components (B) and (C) being 1-1,000mol. for 1mol. of the component Ti in the component (A), and if desired, they are aged at 0-200 deg.C for 10min-1hr.
