PURPOSE:To enable pallets to be automatically mounted with a simple structure by providing a jack for fixedly attaching claws engaging pallet claws to a slide beam movable widthwise to support laterally movably the pallet. CONSTITUTION:A truck 2 is put under a pallet P. After the pallet P is lifted, it is further lifted by a jack while being supported widthwise movably by a roller 18. Next, a slide beam 20 is protruded to both sides and the pallet P is laterally moved in position by claws 20. Further, the pallet P is advanced until it abuts against a stopper 2b of truck 2 and aligned longitidinally with a proper position. Then, the pallet P is mounted on the upper surface of truck 2, the slide beam 20 is withdrawn and legs Pa of pallet P are contracted. Thus, the pallet can be automatically lifted and located with a simple structure.
