PURPOSE:To realize the change of the reference destinations even while a program to be evaluated is being executed by setting a DMA controller into a microprocessor for program evaluation and setting the address of the reference destination from outside. CONSTITUTION:When a DMA request signal 7 is activated, a DMA controller 3 is started and a HOLD request signal 9 is activated. Then an execution unit 2 activates a HOLD acknowledge signal 10 to secure a HOLD state. The controller 3 confirms the signal 10 and delivers the contents of an address register 4 to write them into a temporary register 5. Then the controller 3 activates a DMA end signal 8 and at the same time inactivates the signal 9. While the unit 2 releases the HOLD state and continues execution of a program to be evaluated. Thus the reference can be designated even in an executing state of said program. |
