PRODUCTION OF CERAMIC MOLDED BODY

PURPOSE:To improve the flowability of a mixture and to facilitate molding by mixing poly-alpha-methylstyrene with ceramic powder in a solvent contg. glycol monoethers and by molding the resulting slurry. CONSTITUTION:A solvent contg. glycol monoethers is prepd. Ceramic powder is mixed with a thermoplastic resin (poly-alpha-methylstyrene) as a binder in the solvent. The resulting slurry is molded and the molded body is degreased and sintered or solidified by melting.
