PURPOSE:To achieve improvement of chemical resistance and abrasion resistance like gate resistance or the like, by a method wherein a thermal coloring layer, a protection layer 1, and a protection layer II are successively formed on a substrate, and the thermal coloring layer, the protection layer 1, and the protection layer 1 are made to contain specific resins. CONSTITUTION:A lamination struction in which a thermal coloring layer, a protection layer 1, and a protection layer II are successively formed is provided on a substrate. Then, the thermal coloring layer and the protection layer 1 are made to contain aqueous polyester polyurethane resin, and the protection layer II is made to contain acrylic resin and/or ultraviolet setting resin. Then, a magnetic recording layer may be provided to the back face of the substrate constructing such thermal recording medium. Further, the magnetic recording layer may be provided between the subtrate of the thermal recording medium and the thermal coloring layer. Furthrmore, polyester polyol, polyisocyanate, etc., composed of acid component and glycol component are mention as the aqueous polyester polyurethane resin to be contained in the thermal coloring layer and the protection layer 1. Single polymer or copolymer of acrylic monomer such as methyl acrylate or the like, or copolymer of acrylic monomer and ethylene to the like monomer and others are mentioned as the acrylic resin to be contained in the protection layer II. |
