PURPOSE:To obtain a developing agent freed of turbidity of color, uniform magnetic characteristic in its carrier particles, and having higher function by regulating the particle size of the carrier particles to a sufficiently small value by using magnetic iron oxide particles derived from magnetotactic bacteria for the magnetic carrier particles. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic iron oxide particles derived from magnetotactic bacteria are used for magnetic carrier particles of a two component developing agent. Since the bacteria contain plural (10 - several tens) magnetic bodies in the cell, the magnetic bodies are used as magnetic particles by separating the magnetic bodies consisting of iron oxide. The magnetic bodies have extremely fine and uniform particle size as well as high purity. Accordingly, magnetic characteristics of a developing agent are made uniform due to high purity and uniform particle size and uniform quality of magnetic particles when magnetic particles derived from magnetotactic bacteria are used for the magnetic carrier particles, moreover, the turbidity of color caused by the magnetic carrier particles is eliminated. |
