PURPOSE:To improve the resolution in the direction of a reference axis by a simple structure, by executing an irradiation of light to a measuring body in plural parts of turning, and measuring a distance extending from the reference axis to the surface of a body to be measured, based on an output of a detector. CONSTITUTION:When a motor 18 is driven, a rotating body 5 rotates centering around a reference axis 1, and plural optical fibers 10 arranged on a light source axis 15, and a detector 9 rotate around a body to be measured 2. When the rotating body 5 stops for a prescribed minute time, light is supplied from upward to downward successively to the optical fibers 10 in parallel to the reference axis 1, from a light source 12, and from a lens 11 fixed to one end of the respective optical fibers 10, irradiation light beams 16-1, 16-2 are radiated successively to the body to be measured 2. The light beam which has been reflected by the body to be measured 2 is light-received by the detector 9. Based on an output of this detector 9, a distance extending from the reference axis 1 to the surface of the body to be measured 2 is calculated.
