PURPOSE:To prevent waste of energy to be supplied to a bearing device, by a method wherein a portion of a lubricating oil supplied to a bearing device by a normal oil-supplying device is utilized as a shaft-sealing pressure oil for a shaft- sealing device when operating a generator, and only a shaft-sealing pressure oil supplied from a small-capacity oil-supplying device exclusive for the shaft-sealing device is used when the operation of the generator is stopped. CONSTITUTION:When operating the generator, a lubricating oil fed from a lower oil-collecting tank 11 into an upper oil-collecting tank 8 through a cooler 16 by an oil pump 14 or 15 for the bearing device is supplied to the bearing device 6 through a solenoid valve 9 by utilizing a pressure difference, is fed also to the shaft-sealing device 7 through a safety valve 7, and the oil supplied to the bearing device 6 is returned directly into the tank 11. When the generator is stopped, the pumps 14, 15 are not used, the lubricating oil is fed from the tank 11 to the tank 8 by an oil pump 13 for the shaft-sealing device, and is supplied only to the shaft-sealing device 7. |
