PURPOSE:To obtain a good quality picture extending over the whole area of an original by performing suitable data processings, respectively, according to information which is inputted from an original position inputting part, and is for distinguishing a half-tone displaying area and a non-half-tone displaying area. CONSTITUTION:An image data from the original, scanned by a reading part 1, is stored in a line memory 3. Position information for distinguishing the half-tone displaying area and the non-half-tone displaying area in the original is inputted from the original position inputting part 4, and stored in a memory, provided in a device interface control part 5. The device interface control part 5 gives a data processing for a half-tone display or a data processing for a non-half-tone display to the image data, stored in the line memory 3, according to the position information from this memory.
