PURPOSE:To improve moistureproofness by forming a protective layer of two layers of UV curing resins having a low crosslinking degree and high crosslinking degree and disposing the layer of the low crosslinking degree so as to come into contact with a magneto-optical recording layer. CONSTITUTION:A 1st protective layer 4 consisting of the UV curing resin which is soft and has good adhesiveness and low crosslinking degree is provided on the side in contact with the magneto-optical recording layer 3 and the 2nd protective layer 5 consisting of the UV curing resin which has the good moistureproofness and the high crosslinking degree is provided on this 1st protec tive layer 4. The magneto-optical recording medium consisting of the layer 4 of the low crosslinking degree with has >=300 average mol.wt. per acryloyl group of the UV curing resin and the layer 5 of the high crosslinking degree which has <=250 average mol.wt. is preferable. The deterioration of the magneto- optical recording layer even in a high-humidity atmosphere is thereby prevented and the magneto-optical recording medium having the excellent moistureproof ness is obtd.
