摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the rate of occurrence of an abnormal value in measurement, by disposing electrodes at positions deviating from the center of two retaining frames. CONSTITUTION:When blood 30mul is dropped as a sample liquid into a carrier layer 9, potassium ferricyanide of an electron acceptor is dissolved in the blood, and the blood containing the dissolved potassium ferricyanide is filtered to be separated by a filter membrane 8. Then, a plasma component wherefrom a solid blood-cell component is removed goes along the sidewalls 5' of retaining frames 5 and reaches a polyacrylamide gel membrane which fixes glucose oxidase provided on a measuring electrode 2, and an enzyme reaction proceeds in this membrane. After the enzyme reaction is ended, a prescribed voltage is impressed on the measuring electrode 2 with a reference electrode 4 used as a reference. Then potassium ferricyanide produced is oxidized and an oxidation current value is measured. The concentration of glucose in the blood is determined from this oxidation current value. Since electrodes 2-4 are provided in deviation from the center of the retaining frame 5, an air bubble 11 is prevented from occurring on the electrodes 2-4, and accordingly, the rate of occurrence of an abnormal value of a measuring value can be reduced.
