PURPOSE:To prevent a cable from being brought into contact with a disk so as to secure normal rotation of the disk, by providing a hindering member which is engaged with a contacting member at the location where a connecting member hinders the contact with the disk when a pickup reproduces the opposite surface and the surface facing a signal processing section, in the vicinity of the disk. CONSTITUTION:The supporting base 6 and flexible feed cable 104 of a pickup supporting member drive a feed motor 5 from the innermost periphery of a disk 9 and the base 6 makes low-speed scanning on the tips of supporting blocks 17 and 18 in the direction of the arrow so that a pickup 4 can scan the lower surface of the disk 9. At the time of scanning, a bent section 104a is produced in the cable 104 because the cable 104 is bent from a state where it is stretched from a lower chassis 49b and the bent section 104a becomes greater as the base 6 advances toward the outside. When scanning of the lower surface of the disk 9 is completed, the motor 5 is driven at a high speed and the coupling sections 17b and 18b of the base are brought upward. Therefore, the cable 104 is bent to an S-shape and moves along a vertical wall 106.
