PURPOSE:To improve the throughput of a system by fetching an address descriptor from a local memory at the time of a mishit of address conversion. CONSTITUTION:When the mishit is found as a result of comparison with an address descriptor, an address conversion part 3 issues a wait instruction to a microprocessor part 2 through a control line 20, namely, becomes a bus master to start an operation for fetching a corresponding descriptor. In this case, a multiplexer control part 6 sends out a selecting signal according to the wait instruction and a multiplexer 7 controlled with the selecting signal selects a physical address from the address conversion part 3 as an address of access to a local memory 4. The address conversion part 3 searches a table stored in the local memory 4 to fetch the corresponding descriptor through a data bus 102.
