PURPOSE:To select an objective mode by providing a means for calculating the number of mode changeover pulses based on the difference between the mode selected at present and the mode selected next to only depress a specific mode selection button. CONSTITUTION:Every time the same mode changeover code pulse is received, a television receiver of a mode toggle changeover system switches the mode sequentially. That is, data of the mode selected just before is stored in a data RAM 6 of a remote control transmitter and when any mode selection button is depressed, the information of the mode assigned to the button is taken in and the stored mode data is compared with the information and mode changeover code pulses of numbers corresponding to the difference of the mode are emitted. Thus, even in the television receiver of the mode toggle switching system, the objective mode is selected by only depressing the specific mode selection button to simplify the operation.
