PURPOSE:To improve the portability and the display operability of a real time memory monitor device by constituting it so that various display control designating data required for displaying the contents of a memory can be updated from the outside, and also, can be displayed continuously together with the contents of the memory. CONSTITUTION:When a power source is turned on, a control part 14 executes various initializations, and an a link in the chain, a display driving part 16 is started, and thereafter, a display is executed on a liquid crystal display part 12. Subsequently, based on those displays, numerical values for designating an item or designating an address are inputted from a key operating part 13, and these numerical values are displayed at a prescribed position on the liquid crystal display part 12 under an interleaved control by the control part 14. On the other hand, a write data from a memory 3 is stored in a RAM 15, but even while executing such as storage, as for a display address range designating data which is brought to a key input, the stored contents corresponding to an address within its address range are read out periodically, and thereafter, displayed on the liquid crystal display part 12. In such a way, the portability and the display operability of a real time memory monitor device can be improved.
