PURPOSE:To improve short-circuit failure and leak-current failure, and improve various kinds of life test characteristics, by implanting a metal member having valve action as a lead in a pellet, sintering the pellet, and applying a current between the pellet main body and the lead. CONSTITUTION:A pellet 1 is formed by processing metal powder having valve action. A metal member having valve action is implanted as an anode lead 2 in the pellet 1. The pellet 1 is sintered in vacuum at a high temperature. A current is applied between the pellet 1 and the lead 2. Electric energy applied is larger than or equal to 3J. Heat is generated by the current at the part where the lead 2 is implanted, and sintering of the powder is progressed. The pellet 1 highly resisting against external stress is obtained. Therefore, short- circuit failure and leak-current failure are improved, and various kinds of life test characteristics are improved.
