PURPOSE:To maintain the straightness of a needle to a reservoir and to prevent the damage of the tip of the needle by forming the needle tip after the needle is fixed to a cap beforehand. CONSTITUTION:A needle 1 is fixed beforehand to an inserting hole 25 of a cap 10 which is inserted to a reservoir 2. Then, after forming the tip of the needle 1 based on the cap 10, the cap 10 is inserted to the reservoir 2 while keeping the concentric relation of the cap 10 and the reservoir 2 by using the reservoir 2 and the sleeve 24 of the cap 10, and the dimension of the tip of the needle 1 to project from the hole 21 of the reservoir 2 is determined. The cap 10 is combined with a supporting rod 5 and a screw 9, and a liquid metal ion source is obtained.
