PURPOSE:To prevent re-adhesion of dust onto a magnetic disk by notching a slit to a side face of a slider from a rail opposed to the magnetic disk till a slider rear face. CONSTITUTION:A slit 4 is notched to the side face of the slider from the rail 3 opposed to the magnetic disk till the rear side of the slider 1. Thus, the dust 7 invaded from the direction of taper receives a difference force due to the pressure difference at the border between areas A and B, parted from the magnetic disk 8 and led to the rear face of the magnetic head slider 1. The rear face of the slider 1 is sufficiently high from the layer flow of the magnetic disk 8 and the dust 7 led to the place is excluded on the flow going from the center of the magnetic disk 8 generated attended with the revolution of the disk 8 toward the outer circumference. Thus, the dust on the magnetic disk 8 is excluded externally.
