PURPOSE:To automatically control the power consumption of a processor, by instructing a power supply means for the processor to supply a prescribed power to the processor when stored information corresponding to time information preceding present time information indicates the presence of operation but instructing said power supply means to supply a lower power to the processor when said stored information indicates the absence of operation. CONSTITUTION:The presence/absence of operation of the processor is detected, and detection information is allowed to correspond to time information, which includes at least information indicating the time and is repeated at a prescribed period, and is stored in a CPU 200, and a power supply means 210 which supplies power to the processor is instructed to supply a prescribed power when stored information corre sponding to time information preceding present time information indicates the presence of operation, but the means 210 is instructed to supply a lower power when said stored information indicators the absence of operation. Consequently, power supply is limited in accordance with past operation presence/absence information of the processor which is allowed to correspond to time information repeated at a prescribed period. Thus, manual key switch operation or the like are made unnecessary in case of periodical use, and the power consumption of the processor is automatically controlled. |
