摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the power supply for excitation of a superconducting magnet having high reliability in quenching prevention when the superconducting magnet is excited by a method wherein an AE signal detection and processing circuit, which supplies the control signal with which exciting speed is automatically switched by detecting and processing the AE signal sent from an AE sensor to a control circuit, is built-in in the title power source. CONSTITUTION:When the input signal corresponding to the set value of an excitation current is supplied to an amplification circuit 23 from a control circuit 27A, the DC current supplied form a rectifying and smoothing circuit 22 is converted to an exceedingly stable excitation current by the amplification circuit 23, and it is outputted from the circuit 23. The value of said excitation current being supplied to a superconducting magnet 10 is detected by a current detecting circuit 24, and it is fed back to the control circuit 27A. In this control circuit 27A, when the detected excitation current value is increased to the excitation current value set on a excitation current setting circuit 25 at the excitation speed set on an excitation speed setting circuit 26 and it becomes equal to the preset excitation current value, the excitation speed becomes zero and a holding state is formed. In the case where the AE signal generated by the internal interference of the superconducting magnet 10 is detected, it is controlled by an AE signal detection and processing circuit 28 by changing the speed of excitation.
