PURPOSE:To improve the durability of a magenta color image by incorporating a specified magenta coupler in combination with a specified compd. in the titled material. CONSTITUTION:The titled material contains one or more of the magenta coupler shown by formula I and one or more of the compd. shown by formula III which is composed of the stabilizer for the magenta color image. In formulas, Z is a nonmetal atomic group necessary for forming a heterocyclic ring contg. a nitrogen atom., X is H atom. or a substituent group capable of releasing by reacting with the oxidant of a color developing main agent, R is H atom. or a substituent group, R<3> and R<4> are each H atom. or alkyl group, etc. And, the concrete example of the compd. shown by formula I is exemplified by the compd. shown by formula II, etc., and the concrete example of the compd. shown by formula III is exemplified by the compd. having a group shown by formula IV as the group R<3> and the compd. having the CH3 group as the group R<4>. The magenta color image which is suppressed the discoloration and decoloration due to a light and has less tendency for generating a Y-stain is obtd. by using the titled material. |
