CONSTITUTION:A transparent sheet 10 marking a basic M matrix (matrix arranged in diagonal directions)M0 with magnification is arranged under the reception paper 11 marked with the transmission arrangement M2 received by a facsimile equipment, and a light source 12 radiating a laminator 14 and a photodetector 13 of a reflected light from the laminator 14 are arranged. The phase difference (p) is detected from the peak value of the luminous quantity measured by the photodetector 13 and the matrix M1 formed by applying phase shift to elements of the basic M matrix M0 from the phase difference (p) obtained by the phase difference only is formed and the AND with the transmission matrix M2 at every bit is obtained and the result is restored into the original. Thus, the operating speed related to the decoding of the signal is remarkably improved.
