PURPOSE:To enhance the working efficiency while to aim at making a pretreating device compact and to ensure pretreatment by providing a pair of main treating units for forming a V-like cut-line and an adhesive layer in the leading end part of a wound sheet, above a table while arranging a support device below the table, and by providing a suction device for the leading end of the sheet, on the table. CONSTITUTION:A pair of main treating units 4, 4 for forming a V-like cut-line and an adhesive layer in the leading end part of a wound sheet are disposed above a table 2 on which a suction device for absorbing and fastening the leading end part of the wound tape onto the upper surface of the table is provided, and a support device 3 is provided below the table 2. As a result, it is possible to aim at greatly enhancing the working efficiency of pretreatment with the use of a pair of the main treating units 4, 4, and to surely and satisfactorily form the cut-line and the adhesive layer at predetermined positions in the leading end part of the wound sheet by means of the suction device, thereby it is possible to satisfactorily carry out the splice of sheets or the like. Further, it is possible to aim at making the device compact in comparison with conventional devices utilizing an arched support device, and to reduce the space of installation.
