PURPOSE:To improve a bending accuracy by detecting the pressurizing force of a die for the plate to be worked at the respective position of both sides, correcting the die transfer aiming value with its operation and controlling the work distance of each reciprocating mechanism based on the result thereof. CONSTITUTION:An encoder 26 and torque detector 27 are arranged together with a CPU 22, ROM 23 and RAM 24 on the control device 21 inside a control box 6. A bending is started by finding in advance the descent aiming value of an upper die 2 and the pressurizing force (torque) of the upper die 2 on the plate 30 to be worked is individually detected by a detector 27. The deformation amt. of a machine main body 5 and upper die 2 is then converted from this detection value to execute the correction operation of a transfer aiming value by the CPU 22 and based on a new transfer aiming value a servomotor 12 is controlled. Due to the pressurizing force of the die 2 being corrected by detecting the both side positions the bending accuracy of the plate 30 to be worked is improved.
