PURPOSE:To make it possible to input five kinds of characters with one key by forming the captioned device with a printed board provided with five contacts, supporting part capable of moving in such a way as to bring the respective five contacts in contact with either one group selected of respective contact parts and operating part operated from the outside. CONSTITUTION:As the circumference part of the operating part 4 of a key switch is pushed by a finger, a supporting part 3 integratedly mounted to an operating part 4 is inclined to the pushed side together with the operating part 4. Of the contact parts 18 supporting by a supporting part 3, only a position pushed by a finger, namely, the contact part 18 of the selected position is brought in contact with the contact of a printed board 2 so that the desired information is selected. A protecting mechanism is provided so that the supporting part 3 is never inclined except the direction with the contacts, thus the supporting part 3 is never inclined even if the intermediate part between two adjacent contacts is pushed by a finger so that malfunction due to the simultaneous selection of a lot of information. Therefore, it is possible to input five kinds of characters with one key without simultaneously using a shift key or the like.
