A serial data link for numerical control devices, comprising a host CPU (10) and a plurality of peripheral CPUs (20, 30). The peripheral CPUs(20, 30) are connected in series with the host CPU (10) via a serial data communication line (41). Data are transferred between the host CPU (10) and the peripheral CPUs (20, 30) through the data line (41), and the transfer operation is synchronized by a synchronizing signal produced by the host CPU (10). According to the invention, data and a synchronizing signal for synchronized operation of the peripheral CPUs (20, 30) are transferred through the serial data line (41), and this facilitates simultaneous control of complicated NC devices by using a simple configuration. |
