PURPOSE:To produce a superconducting material having satisfactory molding workability by molding a mixture consisting of a metal (or a metal compd.), a binder, and a fibrous material, removing org. components, and sintering simultaneously the metal (or the metal compd.) by oxidation. CONSTITUTION:A mixture is prepd. by mixing >=2 kinds of metal selected from Cu, Ba, Y, and Sr, or compds. of such metals, a high molecular org. binder selected from diazo type, methacrylic, polycarbonate type, polyethylenic, polyester type, epoxy type, phenolic, polyimide type, cellulosic, and glycerol type binders, and >=one kind of fibrous material selected from org. synthetic fibers, org. natural fibers, inorganic fibers, metallic fibers. After molding the mixture to a desired shape, org. components are removed by oxidizing the molded product by calcining at 700-950 deg.C in oxydizing atmosphere contg. >=10% O2. The metal (or the metal compd.) is oxidized and sintered simultaneously, obtd. thus a superconducting material having 50-1,200A/cm<2> critical current density at 75-94K Tc. |
