PURPOSE:To eliminate the need of deaerating operation and consenquently contrive to enhance the efficiency of molding operation by a method wherein molding is done by applying FRP molding material by a certain thickness onto the molding surface of a mold with a coating nozzle. CONSTITUTION:FRP molding material 2 is made in advance by kneading resin compound 7 and chopped strands 8 with a kneader 4. The molding material 2 is applied onto the molding surface of a mold 1 by being fed under pressure to and delivered from a coating nozzle 5. At this time, the distance between the molding surface of the mold 1 and the tip of the coating nozzle 5 is kept constant through the arm 14 of a coating robot 13 so as to apply the material 2 by a certain thickness. Thus, no material 2 scatters around, and further no bubble enters in the material 2, resulting in eliminating the need of deaerating operation. Consequently, material loss is suppressed and at the same time comfortable working environment is also held and accordingly the efficiency of molding operation can be improved. |
