PURPOSE:To improve the quality of subscriber's line test and to improve the service to subscribers by using a subscriber's line test circuit tester to test each test circuit before the test of a subscriber's line. CONSTITUTION:When a subscriber's line test control circuit 4 is instructed to start the test by a higher controller 2, the software control indication in the circuit 4 is sent to a control line 11, and a switching circuit 9 is switched to the side of a subscriber's line test circuit tester 8, and a telephone set connection testing circuit 5, a subscriber's line ground testing circuit 6, and a subscriber's line cross testing circuit 7 are connected to the tester 8. The start of test is indicated by software control of the circuit 4, and circuits 5-7 are successively tested by the tester 8, and results are read by software. If the result is NG, the circuit 4 informs the controller 2 of trouble; but if it is OK, the circuit 4 turns off the relay operation of the circuit 9 and leads a subscriber' s line 10 into circuits 5-7. The start of test is indicated again by software control, and the telephone set connection test, the subscriber's line ground test, and the subscriber's line cross test are successively performed by circuits 5-7. Test results are read into the circuit and are reported to the controller 2.
