CONSTITUTION:In two medium opposed surfaces 11, 12 of a magnetic head slider 10, a magnetic core 20 is fixed by glass 31 to one 11 of them, and an alumina layer 33 is formed on the side of the medium direction surfaces 11, 12 of the glass 31. According to this structure, the medium opposed surface of the periphery of the magnetic core 20 becomes a plane, and the magnetic head slider 10 becomes a desirable floating attitude, and such a danger as the magnetic head slider 10 misses the desirable floating attitude, comes into collision with a medium and gives damage, etc. is prevented.
